Manna Institute seeking Lived Experience and First Nations governing representatives
We are seeking Expressions of Interest for people with lived experience of, and interest in, regional Australian mental health to join Manna Institute governance groups.
Manna Institute is governed by representatives from participating universities, industry partners, and people with lived experience to guide collaborative priority setting. The Program Leadership Group (PLG) oversees the Institute, while the Project Management Group (PMG) is responsible for the day-to-day progress of the Institute's activities.
This 3-year project, funded by the Australian government’s Regional Research Collaboration (RRC) Program, is a collaboration between universities in the Regional Universities Network (RUN), led by the University of New England. Foundation partners include Lifeline Direct, Everymind and Centre for Mental Health Research (ANU).
The Institute’s focus is building the capacity of regional mental health researchers and developing collaborative research that addresses the complex affecting mental health in regional Australia. The Institute commenced in early 2022.
The contributions of First Nations peoples and those with lived experience of mental health in regional Australia are vital to Manna Institute's work. We are seeking two representatives from each group to join both our Program Leadership Group and Project Management Group.
EOIs for these positions are open until Friday 27 January 2023. These are paid positions under the NMHC paid participation policy. Please complete the Lived Experience form or the First Nations form and email to mannainstitute@une.edu.au
